Hey, I’m
Jasmine

A straight-talking ancient world expert.
I like to keep our histories real, and keep them personal.

Reclaiming History

In 2021, bored of the traditional and dusty approaches
to the ancient world, I decided my subject needed a ‘glow up’.

As a woman of colour from a working class background, I am kinda a new kid on the block. I looked around and wondered why I couldn't really see or feel my own history reflected in the media around me.

So, I got on a mission!

To write books that I wanted to read, to represent a different demographic on our TV screens, and to rally people through engaging events.

I do things big and I do them bold and I am ride or die about authenticity.
I'm hoping you are yelling a 'hell yeah' to all of this and are interested in more?

If so, get in touch with me below and lets start reclaiming our history together...

More about Jasmine

Jasmine writes books and does the telly.
She has appeared on channels such as Channel 4, Channel 5, and National Geographic as well as hosting and appearing on many podcasts.

Her debut non-fiction work is published by Renegade books (Dialogue/Hachette imprint) and is called Goddess with a Thousand Faces.

A bold feminist exploration of world goddesses, blending storytelling with historical fact, all peppered with Jasmine's unique tone and approach.

It follows on from years of research as a student at UCL, Cambridge and Exeter and a career as a secondary school teacher of Classics.

Of dual heritage, Pakistani and white - her mother was born in Canada - she grew up in East London, on a council estate in Walthamstow, but now lives in Exeter, Devon with her husband and son.

She has 5 (yes, five) cats and is absolutely not ashamed of that fact!

When she has some down time, she loves spending time in nature, curling up with a good book, an oat milk latte (bougie ey?!) and having a laugh with her friends.

She flits between meditation and being frazzled. Such is life.

Hooped earrings are a vibe in her opinion.
